heavy piles on my Shoulders

Above has said.. Here's what had happened..

lost in debate

kelisa got towed away

financial not stable

That's what I need for this week. But luckily, God sent me an angel to help me with the reports for BMC and BHR. I hope he can make it tomorrow since it's a holiday and both of us have the time to do the reports together. Thank God :)

The "Religious" Debate

My heart had stopped beating fast. Haha! It was about the debate thing. The groups' topic is "Should Suicide Be a Criminal Offense?" and my group's stand is the opponent. So we say NO. We have 5 members each and my part was to talk about the LAW. Well, since our topic is all about criminal offense, I really need to talk about LAW, right? Ok, so I talked about mine and surprisingly, the propenants have nothing to say. I saw their blurring looks and they have only ONE law to support their facts. Thanks to Bro Jameson who helped me from last night till this morning.

But, everyone of us happily shooting each other with Morality points. Our group obviously stayed on track and kept saying "It's not a crime". Over and over again. Why didn't I ask them about LAW? I have those laws in my hands and why I just can't shoot them...?

It was because... I can't find any "hole" to fill in about LAW :'(

I can't wait for the result.
Hopefully we will win...

a Song for Me?

When I enter U-Center in Taman Ixora a little while ago, I was embarrassed. Not by anyone but by the song that was being played. There is ONE song that would embarrass me.. The artist is from Malaysia and this song used to be a hit - 10++ years back... I can't help smiling but I had to stop myself from doing that or else people would think I am crazy! Haha. I felt so 'geli'. Have a guess which song it is :)

I can't help being embarrassed by the lyrics! The guy was like singing .. (translated) "Your voice .. I am missing you .." The HORROR! My heart was like beating a little faster than usual and all I want to do is to get out from that place!

Cut-Off Presentation

Yet again, I was cut-off during my presentation.
I was to present the philosophy, vision, mission, and objectives of Kamana Resorts.

Probably I wasn't enthusiastic enough - as what the lecturer pointed out - to capture the audience' attention. Probably I was talking so softly. Probably my words hopped onto each other. And probably, I don't even have a clue on what I'm supposed to say. But I can sincerely say that I had been through presentations many times but sad to say - again and again - I still have stage fright.

My fears are still showing because I've 2 more presentations, Human Resource Management and Managerial Communications. This semester I felt so, so, so bored to do the stuffs (anything like assignments, printing notes, taking down important dates etc). And that caused a huge amount of blur-ness in my brain.

The topics for all of the presentations are riotous
(in the sense that you will laugh pathetically in front of the pc):
` English - Business Plan: underwater resort and spa
` Human Resource - General: Gender Discrimination, Women Managers
` Managerial Com. - Debate: Advantages of Suicide

Advantages? Honestly, being a Christian, I have a very tricky time to think for the advantages of suicide. It is like agreeing to suicides and HELL, God forbids suicides. And I have to remind myself - again and again - I need good grades - in order to please Him... Hehe.

Oh by the way, for those who don't know the meaning of SUICIDE, I guess you better read the next line...

Suicide = Soul Martyrdom after Death

Life Is a Gift

Today before you think of saying an unkind word
` Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food
` Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife
` Think of someone who's crying out to God for a companion.

Today before you complain about life
` Think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before you complain about your children
` Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house, someone didn't clean or sweep
` Think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive
` Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job
` Think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another
` Remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one maker.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down
` Put a smile on your face and thank God you're alive and still around.

You are The Moon

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.

The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight.
You can and should trust your intuition.

The (After) Life of a Party

Ahhh .. it was definitely a tiring trip up to and down from Cameron Highlands .. Here is a list of what troubles and excitements we came across at the beginning and the end of the trip ..

Troubles:
April 14th
Venue: KFC (somewhere)
Time: Noon

"Isaac tried to start the engine but failed. And those who were sitting in the car have to fit into the other cars. It was very sad because it was just the beginning of the journey and the car broke down."

April 16th
Venue: Before Seremban until Alor Gajah
Time: Evening - Night

"All of us were behind schedule. When we were at Tapah's rest place when Joey's car went dead. They said that it's the battery fault. Jonathan called David who were at a workshop to come and help. After that, the car came back to 'live'. It started to rain heavily as we were heading our way home. When it comes to almost 7pm, the ones in the vans went for dinner in Sg Buluh. We went to look for food nearby. I had Burger King. After stuffing ourselves, we started our journey again. We were supposed to reach Malacca by 6pm but we arrived at the highway by 10.30pm."

Excitements:
April 14th
Venue: Pasar Malam
Time: 7pm

"We played a game in the night market. We were given one piece of paper, with a list of riddles written on it. We were supposed to look for the answer and take pics with it -- with all the group members. But our group were the 'bad' one because at one time, one went missing and wehad to look for them. Alas, we can't finish the game. We had our punishment :("

the riddles

the fried mushrooms .. yummy!!

not forgetting... the strawberries

(front: Joanne, me, David)

April 15th
Venue: Mt Brinchang
Time: Noon

"It was my first -- but not going to be last time going up a mountain. Well, it's supposed to be Jungle Trekking. It was a lovely experience. I have no idea what's up there or how beautiful it is, I have an urge to get in there. Me, Shin Jie, Joanne, Pai Chet, and Joey went up together. The scenery was splendid! I was amazed by God's creation every now and then. The trees are so tall and grand. The soft and moist moss is so... mesmerizing! I can't get enough of the beautiful Mother Nature and I continued climbing with all my might with Phillip to the top."

Shin Jie, Pai Chet, me, Joanne

Phillip, me, (behind) Richard

Joanne, Pai Chet, Joey, Kera

April 16th
Venue: Winter House
Time: 9.45am

"The outdoor game was fun -- The Drawing Game! There was a conflict between Benjamin and Zebulun care group on what to draw/write on the white banner. A brother wanted to write out their group's vision but a sister wanted to show the vision in pictures. But soon, the argument ended as we started our 'job'. And here is the banner:"

And we took a pic of those who wore Red:

Jasmine, Aaron, Joanne, me, Wee Kiat, Paul, Buma

Last night, I found out that the big van got into an accident with a Kancil. The driver was driving at 90km/hour and he said that he can't stop in time although the distance is enough. So, the van hit the back of the Kancil. From their description, it was hit badly. There were 16 people in the van. Plus, the road was wet. Thank God the van did not have any dents. And thank God the people are safe.

Total break downs: 5 cars + 1 van

p.s: more pictures coming up!

Thanks to Alex (green) for joining us:

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Bro Buma (in yellow) went back to Sarawak today on the 3pm flight. It was very sad to see him leave. We had a farewell yam cha last night and he cried. He has been a great bro in Hope of God and it was really sad that he has to go back. Well, he had told me about going back on the 18th and I felt so so upset. It means he would be staying there till... God knows when. I just hope we are able to meet up sometime later. Farewell Brother Buma. May God bless you always!

EGGiesh News

Cheers to my new blog skin! Hehe. I think this skin is really warm and very country like. I don't quite remember what movie Keira Knightley acted in but I received many comments about it being a great movie. I wanted to watch it at first but I've forgotten all about it in the next minute. How 'great' my memory isn’t it?

So, there's not much new things happened these few days.

Easter Sunday (8/4) was great. Benjamin Care Group did Easter Eggs. We boiled 60 eggs and dunked them into 2 bowls with colouring (red and green). Here is one of the don't-look-nice green eggs that was left and thrown away. What a waste! I didn't even get one. *updated* My friend said that his camera has no battery to take the picture, therefore he did not eat it. And when he has the batteries, he assumed the egg is... you know

p.s: probably you guys can recognize whose handwriting that is...

Then there was a performance by the Africans (and Paul Lee, their leader). They danced some hip hop dance and Paul was good! Ok, so not really (no offence) but Jobe (who looks like Kanye West) was so natural! So were Blessings, Irene, Frederick, and the others.

EGGCITING NEWS!

This is where I am heading this Saturday till Monday for Church Retreat. Can you guess where is this beautiful place? I'm going off there with Hope of God Malacca people and also, Alex. Yeyness! It will be my FIRST church camp ever! My mum finally let me out of the cage. I am very excited till whenever I see my church friends, I'd go crazy. I mean, you could hardly believe that you are going somewhere far when your mother used to forbid you. Wow. Isn't God great? He answered my prayer, again :)

gifts

"The greatest l.o.v.e a person can have for his friends is to give his life for them." - John 15:13

by Shin Jie

she passed me this in the small paper packet and i kept it. then after eating, she approached me and opened it. and she brought out the necklace. i was very shocked! i didn't know that she'd get it for me. i remembered at that moment, i did complain to her that it's so hard to get some nice necklace with a cross on. after taking it out from the packet, she help to put it around my neck. awww.. i was touched!

by Su Han

at first, i opened it without her noticing. and i wasn't really happy about it because i don't really like this sort of clip. the fashion of having this clip is too popular. when she asked me to open her gift, i was a little bit guilty because i don't know how to express my feelings. but after putting it on my bag, i felt... it's really cute! it suited my bag colour and i carried it everywhere

by Sin Lu

i was totally shocked by the beauty of this handphone chain. it's very beautiful. what amazes me more was the cross on the star. it's beautifully crafted and i just don't know what to say. it's simply beautiful!

by David, Jonathan, Wee Kiat, Wei Cheng

David told me, Pai Chet and Wendy about the books they gave us as birthday gifts. he said "Read this book. Very good for your life." i was nodding eagerly and can't wait to read it. i am interested in books. when i opened this gift, i was surprised to see the title "Understanding the Mind of Man". i felt that it has very deep meaning. when i read a few topics inside, i felt, they could really help in my life

by Benjamin Care Group

by Chiew Yin and Boon Mui

i can't imagine how many gifts a 21 years old girl should get. i took the plastic bag from Chiew Yin one day and i didn't know that there were 3 boxes with a card. when i got home, i opened them, one by one. these are wonderful gifts! i just love them all. but when i saw the Monokuro Boo's couple chain, i was speechless. i just can't find any words to say for that one. haha. well, Chiew Yin said that i can use them in the future.

And also, thanks to my friends who gave the cards and birthday wishes (online, SMS, testimonials). I am very happy to know that you remembered my birthday. I had a great birthday and thanks again to my brothers and sisters of Hope of God, Malacca for the party.

Thank you so much.
I l.o.v.e you all.

But what we share,
For the gift
without the giver
Is bare.

water baptism

The most awaited event in my life since I began to uphold myself onto Lord Jesus Christ has finally…arrived and achieved. I was very excited during this week and I just can’t wait for the day to come. When it has arrived, I looked up at the sky and complaining, “So hot! Sure skin burn” forgetting that I prayed for fine weather on the day before. The sun was shining so brightly. But when we got to Pantai Kundur, the weather had turned cooler. The sun was behind the clouds, hiding from us…

Before

Bro David preached about the meaning of Water Baptism and that everyone should understand it before getting into the water to be baptized

We tried putting our feet in the sea water to test the coldness. But too bad, it’s warm

(left-right): Ivy, Liyana, Pai Chet, Cheery, me, Shin Jie, Ben, Wee Kiat (behind), Jonathan, Frederick and friend (behind), David, Myles and his friend

Hallelujah!
One brother has been baptized. I guess that this brother was the first!Sis Joey (guitarist) plays a new tune right after each one arises from the water

Err, yea, we were fooling around

During

The tide was very strong and I couldn’t stand still. I was pushed to the front and back and I felt like a wobbling balloon. I quickly grab Sis Shin Jie’s arms. Haha!

Bro David asked me 3 questions. My answers: AMEN!

He prayed for me…

then...

here it goes!

I was completely under the surface of the water

HALLELUJAH!!!
p.s: the water is salty and my eyes hurt

After

--- ** --- ** --- ** ---

I’ve marked March 24, as one of the most important dates in my mind. These are the few dates which are very important:

2006
August 27: Rededicated to the Lord
2007
February 13: Holy Spirit Baptism
March 24: Water Baptism

Every Christians should be baptized in water as soon as possible after they’ve converted. You would be asking how come I just got baptized yesterday when I have believed in God for so many years. 3 reasons:
` I didn’t really go to any churches every Sunday
` I didn’t know the meaning of Water Baptism
` I couldn’t go for those church camps where they organized it

So, it was very memorable for me and I almost cried twice! First was when we gathered and the second time was when I was in Jason's car, on the way to Newton, Malacca Raya.

a joke

Something peculiar happened. And I just don’t get it.

Very, very ghastly.

I was very upset last night because it was my birthday. My 21st birthday. I was worried about what will happen on my birthday few days ago because my friends celebrated my birthday on Mon, March 19. I had this sense that there won’t be anything special on Wednesday. But I was thankful on that day because Care Group is at 8pm so I’m not going to be all by myself with no one around me except food and Sushi. So, I was very excited for care group till… Shin Jie told me that it’s on Thursday because everyone would be busy last night. SOBS! Manasseh Care Group was brought forward. I saw Sin Lu walking out from the house into the van. SOBS! I saw Su Han revising her notes for the exam that night. SOBS!After Su Han went out, I dashed to her pc and check my friendster. WOW! 17 testimonials! Well, it’s not that I received them on one day. I haven’t gone online for a few days so that’s why. Hehe.

Shin Jie got frustrated a little bit due to my boredom which leads to… more dullness. I suggested that we should have shepherding. So, we went into Su Han’s study room and sat on the floor. I browsed through the catalog (Carla Rina, Eslene etc) while she… I don’t remember what she was doing. Then, I suggest that we should go to JJ.

I parked the car right in front of the main entrance and saw Eugene Ee at The Coffee Bean holding a box of Secret Recipe cake. I waved at him and entered JJ. We went up to the first floor and got in Popular. Looked around and saw Fall Out Boy – Infinity on High Malaysia’s Edition. One thing I do not like
the “Special Malaysia Edition” sticker because it’s a sign for the ‘Cut Version’.

Probably, you won’t hear ‘GOD’ in “This Ain’t A Scene, Its An Arms Race”. I also saw Christina Aguilera – Back To Basics. She has pretty good songs inside but the tunes are a bit boring. Ok, let’s get on with the story…

After looking at the girl who plays the drum game very well, we decided to go makan at KFC. We stood outside for a few minutes before deciding to enter. So, we ordered. Whipped Potato was the first thing in my mind. I l.o.v.e whipped potato. Just imagine the hot and spicy gravy melts in your mouth…

My mind was all over it and I went to the cashier and said,

... instead.

I went to the seat without knowing the mistake I made. I opened it with GREAT expectations of the yummy gravy but... sadly to say, I was very disappointed, knowing I made a mistake. I went back to the counter and asked if I could exchange it but too bad. It's ok! I ate it and drank some of Shin Jie's coke. I was very very confused. For the whole time, my mind's only thinking about Whipped Potato but how is that my mouth said Coleslaw? I tried to figure it out how it happened but I don't understand.

Now, don't you think it's very very ghastly??

birthday

2005 - March 20
` A surprise birthday party
` Renee, Nikki, Florence, Fishball, Siaw Keen, Radikah, Sam Yu, Elaine, Jeffery, Jennifer
` Shakeys' Pizza, Jaya Jusco

* I went there with Renee and Nikki after a party in Miss Oshima's condo. Renee was very clever to turn the story around, saying that she's meeting her friend in JJ. So I and Nikki followed. Until we came to Shakeys', then I knew they're celebrating Radikah's birthday. The people were sitting at 2 conjoined tables. The pizzas, garlic breads, mushroom soups, and coke were served. Everyone quarried. I didn't eat because I had enough of the Japanese food earlier. When every one is done, they placed the cake in front of Radikah and me. She said "My birthday is your birthday and so the other way." Oh, how touched was I. The others sang the birthday song and we blew the candles. A few of them started to dig the cream off the cake and splat it on our faces. I covered my face with my hands and received a hard slap on my back for it. Then, we began to spray to each other with the hard cream. I was supposed to throw a bit of the cream at Fishball but it missed him and ended up on someone's table. I’m really bad at targeting. He went to apologize.

` A disclosed surprise birthday party
` Stephanie, Justina, Jacqueline, Pui Kim, Anne, Ling Pei, Stella, Su Li, Andrew, Thomas, Alvin
` My house

* I didn't expect it coming but I knew it a week before my birthday. We were to celebrate it on my birthday, but due to the busy-ness, it’s been postponed. So, when the secret's revealed, I was 'assigned' to do invitations. They were given out in cute envelopes. On that very day, Stephanie came without informing me. Ok, so that's a surprise. They prepare the things in the porch. After making sure the food's in right order, we went out to pick people at SK Bukit Baru bus stop. Everyone eats! Then we play games.
1) Two partners tied together at the legs, walk towards the black bin, grab 2 water balloons each and go back to the starting point at the fastest time.
2) Pass the polo sweet using toothpicks when the music's played. Once it’s stopped, the person with the sweet has to pick a paper where the penalty is stated.

* There was once, Jacqueline pulled me to a place where she started to talk. But I can't figure out what she was talking. Then, someone poured a bucket of water on me. It was Alvin! The mischief one! I got soaked! I quickly ran into the bathroom and changed. Soon, everyone came to the kitchen and I cut the Secret Recipe's Tiramisu (sponsored by Alex and is Stephanie's favourite).
` The best part was when Justina and Alvin danced together for 1 minute as the punishment in the 2nd game

2007 - March 19
` A disclosed birthday party
` Shin Jie, Su Han, Abraham, Wee Kiat, Wendy, Li Lin, Wei Bin, Joey, Pai Chet, Khai Lin, Mary, Jing Ching and friend, Florence, Ivy, Joanne, Blessings, Sin Lu, Jenn and friend, David, Jonathan, Chun Hong, Phillip, Chris, Aaron, Zephaniah, Zacharias, Emmanuel, Lazarus, Paul, 2 guy visitors
` Esther’s house

* I was informed that it was for Simpsons (who was absent) and Pai Chet. Joseph Care Group organizes it. But someone said that it's my party as well, with Wendy. I was so excited for the party since last week till I've forgotten my own. I was certainly surprised when I knew that they celebrate mine. When I hung around Su Han's pc, a few people came to me, "Your birthday today right?" and "Happy Birthday". Zacharias came to me and shook a finger, "Ehhhh, I know it’s your birthday. Today right? Right?" Ok… Maybe someone should tell them it’s a surprise party. When they asked me, I said "No, it's not my birthday, it's Simpsons's birthday." It's really her birthday! Abraham was pretty suspicious. I saw him holding gifts behind his back and he was, obviously, hiding them from me. Paul placed a cold and wet plastic bag filled with jelly on my head while Aaron patted on my head. It seemed like everyone loves to hit me or pat on my head.

* We all eat the food that was prepared by the sisters in Esther's house. Again, Shin Jie fried bee hun, her specialty! Then, they were all talking about stuffs. I went to sit with Aaron and Blessings. Aaron told us a joke. It goes like this: "Why when dog piss, it brings its leg up?" Me were definitely clueless. Then he said: "Because if the pillar fall, the dog's leg able to keep it from falling onto it". Man! That was very funny!

* A few people whispered to Aaron to play the guitar. It's Birthday song time! Shin Jie held the cake. First, at Pai Chet. Then, me and lastly, Wendy who was shocked. After that, we cut the cake together. Next, it's time for pressies (will be uploaded in the next post). Then, the brothers and sisters prayed for each of us :) Few minutes later, the girls asked Pai Chet to wear the skirt and spaggethi strap shirt. She don't wear those stuffs but we all forced her to. When she has done, everyone barge into the room but the girls tried to close the door. It was a funny scene! We didn't play games because some of us have to leave early. Then, we bid each other goodbye and off we went.

* Jonathan sent me home and we talked about Canaan Home on our way back. It was a very nice ride home. He shared a lot of things about Canaan land. It was a very good sharing :)

p.s: so, anyone really know when's my birthday?
